PC not powering on when 14 Pin connector is plugged in

Hello,
Working on my first home built PC and I have an issues I wanted to run past the community. Last night I installed my Nvidia 2080 Rx into my mobo and power supply, where I tried turning my PC on, it wouldn’t turn on at all! Now I suspect that I did use an older PCIE cable from a thermaltake Power supply, where my new one is Corsair, could that be the problem?

Hello! Sorry to hear that your recently built computer is not working properly! Cables for PSUs are generally rated differently so I recommend trying to use the cables that came with the Corsair power supply here. If you do not have enough cables for this, you can try reaching out to Corsair to source extra ones that are compatible.
