PowerSpec B943 and Linux: will I have trouble with the cooler? (or anything else?)

I'm considering the PowerSpec B943 (https://www.microcenter.com/product/678547/powerspec-b943-desktop-computer) and I'd run a mainstream Linux distro on it. I've never had a liquid cooler before. Are these coolers a category of hardware that doesn't play well with Linux OSes? Or will the board's UEFI take care of controlling it, without running fans and pumps too fast and generating undue noise? Note: I wouldn't consider a machine where I have to install software that isn't in the OS repositories. I'd also want to disconnect the LEDs.

I did find this question here from 2020 that has some relevant info:

https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/3071/liquid-cooling-for-a-linux-desktop

But, has the answer changed since then?
