New MSI x670e red & yellow Fail leds
New MSI x670e with AMD 9800x3d, 4 x 16 Gb memory
Red and yellow fail lights — CPU & memory
I found a Reddit note that suggested go to 2 sticks in slots 2 & 4. Seemed to work for a lot of people. Not for me.
I dropped to 1 memory stick in slot 2, all clear, boot to Windows just fine!
But I bought and need the 64 Gb I have. It's not usable with 16 Gb memory for my photo & video work.
What to do? I really don't want to start with BIOS updates or other fiddling around. I just want my new hardware to work as it should.
Thoughts, suggestions? Bring the whole collection back to the store and try again with a different bundle?
PS: I think I put this the wrong category. I don't see a way to change. Delete and post again in the hardware space? So many questions, sorry, I'm new in this forum.
