I know ZTT said to practice building a new PC is to remove the components of an older one.
What if I don’t have a pc to practice on?

People throw out old equipment all the time. I'd check Facebook and buy a cheap system.
I was lucky enough in the 90s to have my grandfather work for my local school system and they threw out TONS of obsolete and "broken" systems, so I got a lot of practice that way because he'd just bring them to me.
Watching YouTube videos can be a large help too if you can't get your hands on the actual parts beforehand.
