Need Help Choosing Parts -- CPU cooler & case
Hi.
I'm looking to build a not-so-expensive PC for bioinformatics analysis. I'm thinking of the Ryzen 9 9900X (bundled with a montherboard and 32 GB RAM for a much lower price. However, I don't know how to cool the CPU. ChatGPT tells me a Noctua (such as Noctua NH-U12S redux) is probably not enough for high loads. Is that true? If so, what's a good 240 AIO and case combo that's not gonna cost much?
Thanks a lot.

I personally went with a Vetroo AL900 case and a SAMA L60 360mm Cooler.
Both are fairly inexpensive.
Aqua Elite: Pros- Inexpensive, keeps temps under heavy load around 65-70C on a 7700x, fairly quiet around 35db using the NIOSH SLM app to track.
Cons-Might need to play with the fan curve a little bit for optimal noise to cooling performance.
Vetroo AL900: Pros-Cheap, looks pretty good if you like the fish tank look. Fits 360mm cooler and is fairly small for an ATX case. Came with an RGB fan hub, making it much easier to organize fans and RGB if that's important to you.
Cons-pretty difficult to cable manage in, especially if you have a lot of fans.

@Nik0K Thank you very much!

You are welcome, also there are many other budget PC cases and AIO coolers.
I've personally have also used the Thermalright aqua elite 630mm, and it works great.

I asked the same question on Tom's Hardware forums, and they also suggested Thermalright ones. The first time I ever hear of the brand, and I found really good ones.
That looks like a great build for gaming. I would've gone for the same processor, but I need the more powerful one for "scientific computation".
