Need Help Choosing Parts

Hey guys,
I am a 3d tech artist, I mostly do Lighting and rendering and environment design. I have a razer laptop, but its time to expand my skills and have a better machine that can handle all my heavy lighting effects. In that said what computer parts do you guys recommend for a intermediate lighting and rendering artist. I use a lot of 3D maya and Unreal engine. I am new to building so this will be my first PC.
