Need Help Choosing Parts

This will be the first PC I've ever built, so please be honest and don't sugarcoat anything. I want to have a multi-purpose setup where I can play some of my PC games, Stream, do school work, and conduct regular day-to-day research. For the majority of my games, I connect my console to my Elgato.
