Those who purchased and used, or are currently using, a PowerSpec Gaming PC-Seeking Feedback Please.
Hi good folks,
Today is 10/22/2025 and I just picked up my PowerSpec G483 gaming PC from Micro Center on 10/19/2025. I haven't had a chance yet to unbox it, but I plan on doing so within the next few days.
I'd like to know from existing users or past users of PowerSpec PCs, especially gaming PCs, and if yours is also a G483, all the better, but for anyone with a PowerSpec gaming PC, how has your experience been with using your PC for gaming or for business and remote working? (as I have a remote from work job, but I only plan on using it mainly for gaming, and in an emergency case where I have to use it to log in for work if my main business laptop goes down for whatever reason)
The topics I'm most interested in hearing about are:
-performance and gaming
-reliability and longevity
-upgradeability
-if issues arose - what was the issue? Was it under warranty? (if under warranty, how was it resolved and what was the experience like?) If it was no longer under warranty, what was your experience in diagnosing and fixing the issue either by yourself or with help from Micro Center? (what was the cost, etc.)
-Cooling: any overheating? with games that stress the system, does it stay cool under pressure? Throttling at all?
-Noise: How quiet or loud does the machine get? I'm just wondering in a variety of situations, such as if it's under heavy workload from gaming or multitasking, does it remain fairly quiet?
-and anything else you feel that would be helpful to new buyers/new users or for the folks out there that may be considering purchasing their first PowerSpec, as I just did with my new purchase.
About me: I'm new to gaming - well, since the NES/SNES/Genesis era, which was the last time i was into gaming, but then I purchased an Xbox Series X in early 2024, and have played it on and off since then, but with a long break of not using it for about 8 months, so I'd say I've been using it fairly regularly, nearly daily, for only about 1 year total.
Since I wanted to expand my gaming repertoire and options, I researched online gaming and the RP (role playing) servers, such as GTA V RP, Red Dead Redemption RP, and others that I may discover, really intrigue me and I think I'd enjoy the role playing aspect of GTA V, IV or any other versions that have RP, and the same goes for RDR RPs, and any others that I may want to try out.
I'm still discovering what I like and prefer, but thought having a nice, powerful machine like the PowerSpec G483 would be a great start, and I purchased the 2 year extended warranty so I have a total of 3 years of warranty with Micro Center and I'm approximately 70 miles away from the nearest Micro Center, so it's not bad. (My specs of the system and my monitors I have, and other equipment are all in my profile).
Thanks to all who read this and consider replying! Salute! Gamers Unite!
