Brand new PowerSpec G758 has been intermittently crashing to desktop in games - what should I do
I bought this PC only 2 days ago, did Windows Updates and installed latest Nvidia GameReady Drivers (581.80).
I have already had 4 crashes to desktop in various games I've tried out. 3 of them were UE5 titles (Black Myth Wukong benchmarking tool, RoboCop Rogue City and Enotria the Last Song) had the same type of crash - image freezes, followed a while later by a crash to desktop. I found the crash logs for RoboCop with "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED" error. Couldn't find the crash log for the other two .
The final game was Witcher 3 which crashed to desktop without freezing first while reloading a save after death. I was able to load the save and die and reload the same save again later, so it wasn't a corrupted file. Witcher 3 made a 136MB dump file which I don't know what to do with.
Event Viewer's only seemingly relevant errors were 3 nvlddmkm errors at the same time as one another (so would only explain one of the above 4 crashes, perhaps Enotria):
"Error occurred on GPUID: 100"
"Graphics Exception: ESR 0x407020=0x2000 0x407028=0x100 0x40702c=0x124cd980 0x407030=0x0"
"Graphics Exception: SKEDCHECK06_REGISTER_COUNT failed".
I thought of maybe updating the motherboard BIOS, but could note even find my current one (2.A02 dated 8/1/2025) on the official BIOS download page for this "PRO B850-VC WIFI (MS-7E56)" board at https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/PRO-B850-VC-WIFI/support . Plus, the question I asked on the G758's store page was answered with "here is no need to update. The latest BIOS only improves compatibility with AMD 8000-series CPUs. We do not recommend updating your BIOS unless there is a specific issue that the newer BIOS can fix, in which case, please reach out to us on our community site and we can provide a tested BIOS solution."
So, here I am.
I've also found some artifacting in Enotria when not capping the framerate and in RoboCop at 4k Native resolution with DLAA, but the latter one went away as I was tinkering with settings and I was unable to reproduce it later.
I ran FurMark stress test for a few minutes, no crash or artifacting. Thinking it might be VRAM related, I ran Control & RoboCop at 4k simultaneously, no crash.
I don't know where to go next from here. A clean reinstall of the GPU drivers? Rolling back to some older GPU drivers? I would preferably like to solve this without needing to bring the PC back to Microcenter for service, especially as I have not found any way to reliably reproduce these crashes. They just happen randomly.

We can replace the system under warranty of course or repair it. If you would like to diagnose it, I would run Kombustor first to stress the VRAM. Followed by Memtestx86 to check the system RAM. Both tools are free. That should tell us where the underlying instability originates.

Thank you for the response! I'd like to do what I can myself first.
I just installed MSI Kombustor v4.1.36, and it has over 20 "stress tests" available. Which one would test VRAM specifically?

I just set the resolution to 4K, doesn't matter what your monitors native resolution is. Enable artifact scanner and run the GPU stress test.

@PowerSpec_MikeW - which GPU stress test? I tried a few but none of them used more than 8GB VRAM even at 4k:
Here's the Furmark-Donut-6500MB one:
