Dropped off Macbook for Battery Repair 3 weeks ago...

I dropped off my MacBook for a battery replacement at Micro Center three weeks ago. The service agent has been very communicative and helpful, but he’s being stonewalled by Apple.

When I left the device, I was quoted $250–$300 for the repair. Later, I received a text update stating the cost would be $380 and the ETA was 3–5 days. It’s now been two weeks since that update, and despite numerous attempts by the service agent (including escalation to his district manager), Apple has not provided any further updates.

My entire life is on this MacBook, and I’m increasingly concerned about the lack of progress and transparency. What should my next course of action be to ensure I get my device back and repaired? If something happened to my laptop, I would obviously want a new one to replace it and hopefully I can still import my content/files from the cloud. I just don't know what to do and am getting more and more nervous as the days go on so any advice would be appreciated!
