Windows 11 BitLocker Key.

Greetings,

Odd question, hoping anyone has some insight on this at the moment; I'd also like some feedback too!

I recently had MicroCenter build a PC for me, I had them do the OS install, driver installs, the whole 9 yards.

I was told that it would be done in audit mode for win11 then it would be in OOBE mode for when I first booted it up.

I was not greeted with an OOBE mode, and the unit was not in audit mode when it first booted. It was logged into a local account with no pw.

I won't deny that I had gotten lazy, and just logged with my Microsoft account and rebooted. I'm fairly new to the win11 space, so I thought nothing of it and loaded up on my work programs and games. That is until I was told by a friend of mine that BitLocker is enabled by default on win11.

As I was not prompted with an OOBE mode, I wanted to know where would the BitLocker recovery be saved to? Would it be automatically linked to my Microsoft account upon first login? As I had no prior prompts for a setting up a BitLocker Recovery key.

At this point this should've prompted me to call them back and discuss this, but I haven't had the chance to do so. I wanted to check in with the community to see if anyone has experienced this.
