PowerSpec G365: Updating Drivers for Windows 11 24H2 Update
Hi. I bought my PowerSpec G365 a few years back. Said machine is on Windows 11 Pro 23H2, and I would like to update all of the necessary drivers so I can update my system to 24H2. I've already updated my graphics driver, but I have some questions about what else I need to do.
I've been to my product site (https://powerspec.com/product/648682), and looked at the downloads for my machine. I've also been to the motherboard site for my machine (https://www.asus.com/us/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-z690m-plus-d4/), and downloaded and looked through the manuals. Now for the questions, as this is new territory for me, as a computer user:
(1): On said motherboard site, under Support, and then Drivers and Tools, (https://www.asus.com/us/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-z690m-plus-d4/helpdesk_download?model2Name=PRIME-Z690M-PLUS-D4) and also under Support, Bios and Firmware (https://www.asus.com/us/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-z690m-plus-d4/helpdesk_bios?model2Name=PRIME-Z690M-PLUS-D4) there are several drivers for my machine. My machine doesn't have Armoury Crate installed, and I prefer to not use it, but apart from that, which drivers do I need? I haven't added any new hardware to my G365, and the only driver I've ever updated, to my knowledge, is the one for my NVIDIA graphics card.
(2) Out of the set of drivers I need, is there a recommended order for which ones I should update first? (For example, update the LAN driver first, then the sound driver, chipset, BIOS, Intel ME,…,etc.)
(3) If I do need to update my BIOS, can I just update using the most recent release? I've read that some BIOS releases for some products will contain the earlier BIOS improvements as well, but some products do not, and so previous BIOS releases need to be done first. If I need previous BIOS releases, which ones do I need to install before the most recent release?
(4) I noticed that there is also a "BIOS 1402.rar" file under the Downloads section of my product page (https://powerspec.com/product/648682). I checked, and my machine's current BIOS version and date is 1402, 4/1/2022. I'm assuming that this is a way to get my original BIOS file for my machine, in the event I need to "fix" it, if something were to go wrong with my updating it? Is that correct?
Sorry for all the questions. And for posting all of the links the way I have. The forum software wouldn't let me make these into shortened hyperlinks, so readability is an issue, but I wanted to be as clear as I could as to what I'm referring to in this post. I'm also new to updating other drivers, and have never tried updating the BIOS, and some other ones before. I may have some other questions later, but figure this would be a good place to start. Thanks for the help.
Dan
edit: fixed a typo with the numbering of my questions

- I wouldn't touch network drivers unless you're addressing a problem. Audio. Under chipset, Chipset, DTT, MEI, SerialIO and GNA are fine.
- Doesn't matter.
- Main reason unless you have an issue is for the intel microcode fixes, but it doesn't apply to the 12th Gen CPU's.
- That's correct. Just in case you updated to the manufacturer BIOS and needed to roll back.
