Enabling XMP makes "SoC/Uncore OC Voltage" increase to 1.3V and highlights it red in BIOS, need help
Hello, I have a Powerspec G520 I bought from Microcenter a year ago. I just found out what XMP is and realized it was performing at 4800 mt/s instead of 6000. So I went into bios and enabled the XMP profile. However, when I did this, it changed a few settings and one of them was called SoC/Uncore OC Voltage or VDD_SOC, and raised the voltage up to 1.3. It was at 1.1 before. Is that safe/normal? What should I do here? I asked around on Reddit and some suggested I should simply lower it to 1.2. I'm new to all of this stuff so I'm not sure what to do. Will lowering it to 1.2 make the PC run bad or harm it in any way? Is tweaking this stuff harmful in general? Just need some guidance here, thank you.
