PowerSpec Gaming Laptop Freezes/Restarts When Plugging in External Monitor
Hi everyone. This is my first post, Im new to the forum. Ive been researching this issue for a couple weeks and cant seem to find a fix. When I plug in an HDMI external monitor or television the laptop will see it and run it fine for a few minutes. As soon as I move an app to the monitor it starts freezing and after about 10 minutes or so it will bluescreen and hard restart itself. Ive tried this with a TV and a monitor. Ive tried the regular HDMI port and min-ports. Ive updated drivers, adjusted settings that Ive read in my research but nothing stops it. What am I missing? I used to use this laptop with an external all the time but havent in several years. Its running a GeForce GTX 1070 video card. Any help would be appreciated.
