RP: 2013 PC need help with new parts

Hello! Thanks for looking at this post. I am finally at a time where I can no longer update windows properly due to my mother board and the games my friends are playing will no long work on the lowest graphics settings on my PC. It has been a journey. When I bought my PC in 2013 it was just about the best I could get (a 5080 now vs a 5090) which is what I like to do maybe a slight step under what is best and working with it until it dies.

Current PC : Intel I7-4790K @4Ghz 4001Mhz 4core 8logical processors , 16gb Ram, 980x

"insert old joke here" Surprisingly I could still play a lot of pvp(CODMW)/BR/extraction/singleplayer(bg3) for the most part, but I am use to lowering graphics or even resolution at times to maintain fps.

I already have the RAM someone suggested awhile back I should buy some cheap and I did. I am looking for suggestions on what I should/could change? My current build is in a compact case, which I don't like it heats up faster than it should at times so hence the new case. Gamer to gamer please help an old man trying to play what is new.
