Why do I suddenly have "No audio device installed"?
I have a Lenovo IP5I laptop less than a year old. I just updated it and the Lenovo site installed a BIOS update and Windows 11 installed a security update. After this I noticed that my sound on the taskbar was showing as disabled. I can't be certain it wasn't this way before the updates. However, the sound did work in the past. I don't think I ever had the occasion to use the built-in microphone.
When I click on the sound icon it informs me that there is No Audio Device Installed. I went to Windows Device Manager and there is no sound listed. I also have no Input Device.
I am at a loss to figure out where these devices went or how to get them back. Any help will be appreciated.
