Can someone tell me why this is not working?

I plugged all the cables in and made sure they are connected but when I tried to turn it on.  It did not turn on could someone please help me with this?  I

Board looks like an X470 from the picture. Could you tell us more about the build, and which CPU you have installed? Is the system not powering on, or not POSTing?

So when I tried to turn it on, rgb for mother board was lighting up but fan for CPU and video card was not running, wouldn't turn on no matter how many times I pressed turn on button

Looks like  you received some good advice in the other thread. I would agree to check what they were referring to. The Front panel header. Remove everything, reconnect the "Power Switch" only. Should be on the top row, 3-4 pin from the left. Also double check your CPU 8 pin, and your PCIE connectors. Make sure the CPU 4+4 is going to the board in the top left, PCIe 6+2 is going to the card, ect.
