Hello! I'm a game design student and I'm looking to build a powerful pc that can last me for a good time, especially since I have to work and study from home. This is my first time building a pc and I've been doing alot of research but talking to people tends to help provide context. I have between a 1.5-2k budget, and these are the things I'm trying to do with it, and suggestions for parts, builds, or just things I should prioritize in my build would be so much help. I will be regularly using programs like
Autodesk Maya
Pixelogic Z-Brush
Substance Designer/Painter
Unreal Engine
Unity Engine
Maxon Cinema 4D
Adobe Suite
(and being able to game using a 144 hz monitor)

So I'm going to assume two things so if they are wrong you may need to adjust the build. Firstly that you don't need the monitor in this build, and that the needs to design games is pretty much the same as playing them except more ram and processing power is generally needed. So with those two assumptions I got a build here that comes in just under 2k so adjust as needed for tax and such if needed. Hope this helps.Configure Your PC: https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder.aspx?load=1a78f6bc-be4b-47fc-b693-b7e71c9c356dCPU: (1) AMD Ryzen 9 3900X Matisse 3.8GHz 12-Core AM4 Boxed Processor with Wraith Prism Cooler ($399.99 EACH)Motherboard: (1) Gigabyte Aorus Elite WiFi X570 AMD AM4 ATX Motherboard ($209.99 EACH)RAM: (2) Crucial Ballistix Gaming 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 PC4-25600 CL16 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit BL2K8G32C16U4B - Black ($72.99 EACH)Case: (1) NZXT H510 Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower Computer Case - Black ($69.99 EACH)Power Supply: (1) PowerSpec 750 Watt 80 Plus Gold ATX Fully Modular Power Supply ($109.99 EACH)Video Card: (1) EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Super Black Gaming Dual-Fan 8GB GDDR6 PCIe 3.0 Video Card ($689.99 EACH)M.2 SSD: (1) Samsung 970 EVO 1TB SSD 3-bit MLC NAND M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive ($179.99 EACH)Hard Drive: (1) WD Black Performance 4TB 7200RPM SATA III 6Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive ($164.99 EACH)Total: $1,970.91
