I want to get a new larger monitor for my 9 year old Dell computer. I will be getting a new computer soon enough, but want to try a different, larger monitor instead of the two smaller ones I use now. My Question: will my 9 year old dell desktop, with it's original videocard, work with a new 27" HD monitor with 1920x1080 resolution?

Hello @SecretSand! Welcome to the community. Your desktop will still work with a newer 27" HD monitor, but you may need an adapter or different cable depending on what kind of connections your computer currently has. Most newer monitors will utilize HDMI and DisplayPort connections, come will still include VGA or DVI connections as well.
