I got some money for a car for my birthday but I already got one, I'm planning to put this money towards a pc since all I do everyday of quarantine is play games. I've watched all of the LTT videos but still don't know what I'm doing really. my budget can be somewhere between 1500USD-2000USD. I play valorant, cod, CSGO, fortnite, etc. and would like 144fps. cheaper is better for me but I don't really know the price of these things.

Hello @OXYG3N176! Welcome to the Micro Center Community!
Just a few questions as they affect our budget as well as the parts to pick up. Do you need to purchase a keyboard, mouse and monitor? Are you looking to do double monitors? -
no I have everything already, this is just for the PC itself

Here is a build for ~$1500. Uses a Ryzen 7 3700X, 2070 Super, 16GB of RAM, 500GB M.2 NVMe, 2TB HDD.

This build should easily for 144Hz on all the games listed. Honestly, most of the games listed (Valorant, CS;GO, Fortnite) can run on lower specs since they are designed to run on the average computer. CoD and etc. is why I pushed towards that $1500 budget.
Changes that can be done is lowering the motherboard from the X570 Chipset to the B450 Chipset.
Can also consider using a different CPU cooler, though the Ryzen 7 3700X comes with the Wraith Prism stock cooler.

i forgot to say that i stream, will this get 144fps even then?
-
Yes, you should be seeing 144fps on games like Valorant , CS;GO and Fortnite. CoD may be a bit lower if you are trying to stream it at highest settings. Also keep in mind it also depends on the resolution of your monitor. Pretty sure at 1080p, this will do all the games fine at 144Hz. Games like CoD and etc. may struggle to 144Hz at 1440p while streaming and high settings. You can always lower the settings on your games however to help with framerate issues.

awesome I play on low settings anyway so this is awesome. thanks
