Hello community, I have been reserving items at MC for pickup for about 2 years approx. Usually I would walk in and buy. Anyways, did they change policies where now they charge you $1.00 to reserve? What and when was this implemented? This is crazy. Can someone clarify this matter please? I know its just a $1.00 but still.

To clarify this a bit, it's not actually a charge. It's just an authorization hold.
We implemented this recently as part of our policy/procedure revisions related to in-store pickup and COVID-19. The reservation process is otherwise the same. Payment is still handled at the store at the time of pickup. -
Tony, thanks for the answer! I do understand now. Actually, I saw the charge disappear this morning. Also, are you guys aware of a "bag tax" as well? MC Rockville does this for only a nickle but MC Parkville my primary store, does not charge a bag tax.

Hello @C0v3rt_X, I checked with a manager about this, It was explained that this is done in specific stores either due to state or county taxes. They do know that we have it at the Rockville location but do not have it at the Parkville location.

@C0v3rt_X, Thank you for the update on this and I will get a message over to Rockville location.

@TSAustinM - Thanks again.

@C0v3rt_X, glad to be able to help.

@TSAustinM - I think that is a smart choice by corporate. It proves that the customer is serious about it and it is a refundable $1.00. What's sad now is the PSU shortage.
