Worried about the PSU Shortage

So I just had an afterthought. I have many auto notify online but I am running a stock 3900X + RTX 2070 Super Ventus OC edition by MSI. I am powering this with a 650 watt PSU. Is this enough?

650W should be plenty. Your cards power consumption is rated at 215W. Even if you were to push it and overclock it as hard as you could, you wouldn't be exceeding 250W, let alone the 300W the card is designed to be able to handle due to it's 8+6 pin power connectors. The 3900X has a power draw limitation of 142W at the socket under AMD's PPT limitation. Unless you manually override this limit, you won't exceed that power consumption. If we combine the worst case scenario of your graphics card's power consumption (assuming you somehow managed to pull 300W through the RTX 2070 Super through some sort of voltage mod) and pulled 142W through the CPU, you still have nearly 200W of overhead left. The rest of your system is likely drawing less than 50W total, so I am confident that you will be fine.C0v3rt_X said:So I just had an afterthought. You might not be in the best efficiency curve at all times to take advantage of your 80+ rating, but you are far from tripping any over-voltage or over-current protections on your PSU. -
@TSMichaelB - Hey sorry for the late reply. I actually rebuilt my system. I am now running the i7-10700K with the RTX 2070 Super Ventus OC edition by MSI. I also have adequate cooling in my case too.
