Need PSU advice

I'm working on a new system and I just realized I made a bit of a blunder with my part selection: my modular PSU has one 8pin -> 4+4 cable for the CPU power, but the motherboard needs an 8 and 4. It looks like alot of alternative PSUs that might work are either out of stock or much more expensive. Should I wait for restocks, or is cabling an option? (I'm only using one of the PCIe power outputs).

Greetings. The 4-pin may not be needed, and just the 8-pin would be fine, what processor are you using with the motherboard?

Ryzen 5 3600 with stock cooler. I'm not planing to do over-clocking

You won't need to connect the additional 4 pin, even for overclocking on the Ryzen 5 3600. They recommend you connect it on the 3950X (16c32t), but even then it's really overkill considering what the 8 pin  is capable of providing.

You won't need the extra 4-pin connector then. The Ryzen 5 3600 doesn't have a power draw high enough to warran any more than using the 8-pin connector.
