Memory for HP Pavilion

The HP Pavilion had its original 8 GB of ram.
Will adding memory  speed it up.?

Hello @Jespallone_01! Welcome to the Community.

8GB is usually enough for general daily use like web browsing, writing documents, etc... but it ultimately depends on what you're doing with your computer. If you're maxing out the utilization of your RAM, adding more in may make your computer faster. However, if you're not, extra RAM won't make any difference at all. The easiest way to tell if you're maxing out your RAM, or getting close, is by opening up Task Manager on your computer and checking the Performance category. You can open Task Manager by pressing ctrl+alt+del and selecting it, or pressing ctrl+shift+esc. Use the computer as your normally would, and keep Task Manager open so it will track your memory usage, then see if it ever gets to 100%, or close to it. If you are, then I'd suggest adding some more memory.

Otherwise, I'd follow this guide from Microsoft to try and improve performance on your PC: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4002019/windows-10-improve-pc-performance
