new pc build trouble

Options
hi there!
i recently built a pc and took it in to get serviced because i couldnt figure out why it wouldnt turn on , but upon trying to turn it.on to install an os i get a notice on my monitor that there is no dp source detected, even though both of my dp connections are secure. i originally thought it was a monitor issue so i had dell send me a replacement but the new one does the exact same thing. im not sure what to do and if taking it in for service is even an option. please help!!

Are you using one single monitor, or two separate monitors? You mentioned you have both DP connections plugged in, but if you only need one DP cable for your monitor. If you have two plugged in, disconnect one and try restarting everything.

Also make sure that your monitor is plugged into the video card if your computer has one, not the motherboard.
