New graphic design computer/monitor

Good afternoon, I am in need of a good tower and monitor for graphic design. I am working on a 10 year old system and adobe illustrator will no longer work. I am not computer savvy and don’t have any idea where to start. I will primarily be using the latest version of coreldraw, adobe illustrator and photoshop. I rarely do any video editing, but would like this computer to be able to handle it if I do. 

Any recommendations would be awesome!

What kind of budget do you have in mind, and were you looking for a pre-built system or were you wanting to build your own computer?

Prebuilt system.  Maybe $1200 including a monitor......

In that case, I'd say ~$900-1000 for the computer itself would be good, to leave room for a decent monitor to go with it. Depending on what kind of availability you have at your local store, I'd recommend something like this:

The main difference between those two systems is that the Dell computer has a graphics card included, while the Powerspec does not. Illustrator and other design and video editing programs can utilize GPU acceleration to enhance performance, so I think that should be a consideration. 

As for the monitor, an IPS panel would be a good option since they're known for having good color accuracy and image quality in general. Dell makes some pretty high quality monitors so I think something like this would be a good option:

My son is into drawing, and he asked for a pc for Christmas, that he can use for drawing and animation I have no idea on where to start I Need help BAD!!!! I can spend about $600 maybe more my job also has discounts with DELL sometimes up to 40% off CAN YOU HELP ME!!!!! or guide me in the right direction???????
