Powerspec G434 Slow Download speed

I noticed when I first bought the G434 gaming desktop, the download speeds were really slow and it's still slow. It's currently connected via wifi.  All my other devices connected via wifi have a download speed of ~50 Mbps but the desktop ranges from 5-20 Mbps. Can I change any settings to increase this speed? Or is there way to check find the cause of the slower speed? It's disappointing knowing how a computer of this spec downloads slower than my older laptops. 

When downloading games, the download rate is averaging 2 MB/sec, so downloads take forever. Any ideas?

Do you have the antennas installed on the back of the computer? That's the first thing I'd check, the antennas have a big impact on your Wifi signal quality in general. There should be two screws sticking out towards the top of the computer on the back that you can put the antennas on. 

If the antennas aren't there, check the packaging for some kind of accessory box, because the antennas should be inside it.

Do you have a plug in Wi-Fi to try and see if you get the same download speed or better?

None of the trouble shoot helped. I just bought a ethernet cable. Much faster and getting the proper speed.

I am glad you found a resolution to your problem. Since the cable is working that could indicate an issue with the wireless card or even the wireless signal getting to that area.

also with your wireless if you connect to the 5GHZ channel your speeds might be better
