Apple Repairs

Hello,
I have a swollen battery in my MacBook Pro. I have Apple Care. Apple said you are open and can do the repair.
I have an Apple case number.
No one answers the phone when I call Micro Center.
Your website faq says the "knowledge bar" is suspended indefinitely
The online scheduler says walk-ins are welcome.
I would like clear information on whether or not the repair can be done and a time frame so that I can weigh against mailing it back to Apple.

Hello @carmine! Welcome to the Community. 

The Knowledge Bar is separate from actual repairs, so don't worry about that too much. We are open for repairs at this time. As for the time-frame, I wouldn't be able to tell you exactly, as it depends on the specific issue and availability of parts from Apple. I will say that at worst we shouldn't take any longer than Apple to repair it, but we might be able to get it done faster since you don't have to worry about shipping the unit itself. That said, it'd be better to speak to the service desk directly about that as they'd be able to provide you a rought estimate on repair time.
