markem said:For unknown reasons - my WinBook has stopped working. It might be the battery but is more likely something else. Is there anyplace you can send in a WinBook and have it looked at? My other Winbook tablet (10" screen) is still working great. So I do not have any idea why the tw800 died. Thanks in advance for answering. You can email me at markem@sim1.us if you want.

Ok. It has been a while - but back. Do you know where I can get all drivers for the TW800? Also, currently, my TW800 boots into the Phoenix BIOS. Do you know what I can do to get the Windows OS back up and running from that point? Thanks in advance!!!

Finally figured out that the exclamation point (!) means DO NOT USE. Turned on all perphierals. Booted from the Windows 10 Jump Drive I have. Trying to install Windows 10 again. It is on the "Loading..." page. Crossing fingers!
-
@markem unfortunately the TW800 is obsolete, there are no longer any drivers or software for the TW800. One of the reasons why we no longer service this tablet.
-
Yes! Setup is Starting!!!!!! Maybe I can get the tablet back up and running!!!!!
-
@markem great, we hope it reinstalls.

Windows 10 is INSTALLING!!!!! As a 32bit system! So happy! Got it working!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!
-
WINDOWS 10 is up and running!!!!! Now I need to install all drivers.
-
@markem try to got into device manager and check to see which device needs a driver. If a device needs a driver, try right clicking on it and search automatically. Windows may be able to install the drivers, otherwise we no longer have them.
Sorry.

All drivers installed - working!

Good to hear it is working!

Ok. So everything installed, everything worked....sort of. It turns out there is a post here which states that the SOUND will not work under Windows 10. So I have done a lot of reading and I now have installed Windows 8.1 on the TW800. Lastly, I have found where the drivers are all located. They are all at :
You can also get drivers for other versions of the WinBook. In addition, there ARE instructions at Micro Center which tells you how to install drivers by hand. Like this one :
So I've got Windows 8.1 installed and running and I am now going to re-install all of the drivers for it. Wish me luck! I'll let you know if I get it all up and running! :-)

Ok, I have to say the video from Micro Center leaves a lot to be desired. Think of my scenario. I do not even have the internet drivers installed. Ok - so NOW - how do you install the driver? I mean - yeah, I've found the install programs. But what if I only have a X.sys, X.cat, and X.inf file - Where do they go? How do you get them there? What do you have to do after getting them into the right places? THAT is how you tell someone how to install drivers. Just saying....

I had a similar problem, my Winbook did not turn on, I took it to a printer and computer repair specialist and he fixed it for me! The reason is the motherboard burned out!
