Hello,
I am a computer science student that is hoping to get into some freelancing so I want to get a pc for when I am not traveling. I would like something in the range of $1,000 - $1,200 that will let me multi task (twitch and multiple VS code, localhosts, google sites) for my day routine and something that will give me better specs than a console for games like apex legends. I would not mind spending a little more money if it means better performance. Thank you!

Here's what I came up with: https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder.aspx?load=91bf4cc6-7c1b-4340-90d3-251ae8dcbd71
Managed a Ryzen 7 3700X and a RTX 2060 Super for $1176. Should provide you all the the multitasking performance you'll need and the 2060 will hold up for a while for gaming. You'll probably want to upgrade RAM down the road.

I went with 16GB due to cost, you may need to double that to 32GB. RAM is a relatively cheap, easy component to upgrade. Better to put that into a the CPU or GPU at this point and worry about upgrading the RAM down the road.

Thanks again, what would be a good 32GB one? I will track it for any price drops

It would be worthwhile to expand your budget a little bit and go for 32GB out of the gate. You'll add another $80 or so to the build. Just get the 32GB version of the same kit. DDR4-3600, CL16.
