    The HDMI port on that particular laptop is an HDMI 2.0, so it supports 144Hz refresh rate natively up to 1440p resolution. The monitor you chose is 1080p and supports 144Hz through both HDMI and Displayport.

    As long as you get an HDMI cable that's at least HDMI 1.4, you can just plug it in directly and it will work, no adapters necessary.
