new geforce 30** series lower cost of 20** series?

Looking to buy a new GPU. I know the new series will come out sometime in september. Will it lower the cost of the 20** series when the 30** series is released?

At this time we don't know and can only speculate. Usually the pricing tiers pretty evenly with Nvidia, but the new cards tend to drive down the price of the old inventory. That's all I can really say on the matter.
