Trouble installing windows

I just built my first PC, and am currently trying to install Windows 10 onto it, except every time I start it up it gives me the error “The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install windows, click “OK” to restart the computer, and then restart the installation.” The problem is that whenever I click OK, it restarts, then immediately goes right back to that same screen. How can I fix this? I’m installing windows from a flash drive, and right when I booted it up it gave me a choice between upgrade and custom, and I chose custom. If needed I can provide a list of parts used to build the PC. Thanks!

Greetings. Is this a Windows 10 USB that you  purchased or did you create it yourself from Microsoft's website?

    Greetings @jackfm99

Pretty common issue on an install. You can reinstall but you'll need to boot from the USB flash drive. This isn't automatic because the drive is bootable now. ASUS is usually F8/F7, Gigabyte is F12, MSI and Asrock are F11 generally.

Alternatively, if you want to fix it. Shift + F10. Type: regedit

    Navigate to: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\Status\ChildCompletion

Change the "Status" key value from 1 to 3. Then close out both windows and press "Ok" and let it restart. It should proceed on into the setup. If not, reinstall.
