First build in over 15 years. Any advice?

It's been quite a while since I've built a pc.  This is what I've put together so far.

The build will mainly be used for development but we (me and the kids) will probably try out some pc gaming. We're trying to stay under 1500

The case is what I worry about most. I want one that has at least one external bay for a dvd drive and maybe one for some front panel connections. I picked one that seems fun and has some space, but I haven't done done this in a while.

Greetings. The part list looks good for its price, however the case selected won't allow for a DVD drive or any additional front connectors to be installed, it has USBs and such on the top already, but there are no slots to add additional. 

If you're looking for a case with a DVD slot, it will be extremely limited as that has been pretty much eliminated from most cases.
