I haven't built my computer yet, still planning. I want to build a basic pc running Ubuntu Linux that I can learn Blender on. My idea is to upgrade the graphics, processor, memory, and storage as I become more proficient in Blender.
This is my starter build:
AMD Ryzen 5 3400G Picasso 3.7GHz Quad-Core AM4 Boxed Processor with Wraith Spire Cooler
Gigabyte B450M DS3H AMD AM4 mATX Motherboard
G.Skill Aegis Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 PC4-24000 CL16 Single Channel Desktop Memory Module F4-3000C16S-8GISB - Black/Red
Gigabyte B450M DS3H AMD AM4 mATX Motherboard
G.Skill Aegis Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 PC4-24000 CL16 Single Channel Desktop Memory Module F4-3000C16S-8GISB - Black/Red
Thermaltake V100 ATX Mid-Tower Computer Case - Black
PowerSpec 650 Watt 80 Plus Bronze ATX Semi-Modular Power Supply
Samsung 970 EVO+ 250GB SSD V-NAND M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive
PowerSpec 650 Watt 80 Plus Bronze ATX Semi-Modular Power Supply
Samsung 970 EVO+ 250GB SSD V-NAND M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive
I hope to eventually replace/upgrade to:
AMD - Ryzen 7 3700X Matisse 3.6GHz 8-Core AM4 Boxed Processor with Wraith Prism Cooler
Gigabyte B450M DS3H AMD AM4 mATX Motherboard
G.Skill Aegis Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 PC4-24000 CL16 Single Channel Desktop Memory Module F4-3000C16S-8GISB - Black/Red
Thermaltake - V100 ATX Mid-Tower Computer Case - Black
PowerSpec 650 Watt 80 Plus Bronze ATX Semi-Modular Power Supply
Gigabyte - GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER WINDFORCE OC Overclocked Dual-Fan 8GB GDDR6 PCIe 3.0 Video Card
Samsung 970 EVO+ 250GB SSD V-NAND M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive
Seagate BarraCuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA III 6Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
Gigabyte B450M DS3H AMD AM4 mATX Motherboard
G.Skill Aegis Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 PC4-24000 CL16 Single Channel Desktop Memory Module F4-3000C16S-8GISB - Black/Red
Thermaltake - V100 ATX Mid-Tower Computer Case - Black
PowerSpec 650 Watt 80 Plus Bronze ATX Semi-Modular Power Supply

Greetings Brian, welcome to the Micro Center community.
Looking over what you the parts you have listed, everything would be compatible. -
Welcome @brian_G!

Hi,I realized this probably wasn't the best forum to discuss parts, so I copied the discussion over to the Help Choosing Parts forum.I've been using your PC Builder a lot trying to keep my initial build within my initial budget ($440 with tax, so really $408.35).Picking parts that would allow future upgrades have been the hardest.Other than working on my computers and sometimes trying to fix other people's computers I have no experience with this. But I've always wanted to build my own computer.

Welcome @Brian_G Great choice to copy your discussion. I see Ian provided some great advice there!
