GPU Warranty

Good afternoon! I bought a GPU early August. The card was doa, so I returned it for the same card, only this time I got the 2 year warranty with it. The card worked great. Fast forward to last night and the card is having a fan issue (not caused by software). I think this series of cards is just unreliable. I was told by a micro center employee that I can choose to receive a gift card instead of replacing. Is this still true? Thanks!

Yes, if you bring a product in under a replacement plan we'll credit you for the original value of the product when you bought it, in the form of a gift card.
