Will micro center have the 3090 on launch day?
I got into pc building in the middle of the 2000 series so im new to the whole launch thing. I'm curious if micro typically has the new cards on launch and if anyone has any experience buying one day 1 from there if they do? I'm really wanting a 3090 but can't decide if it's better to just order online or go to my closest MC. 🤔

Greetings @Ashlandhunter92
We won't have any information on this to provide until right at the launch date. To my knowledge, Micro Center has carried every major consumer GPU release on launch day that I can recall, albeit in limited quantities. And generally we're first come first served on these items. -
I know this is kind of an absurd way of asking but I guess I'm wanting to know if ill have to stand outside for 8 hours to get one launch day? Or if I show up opening day if that'll be enough.

@Ashlandhunter92
From my recollection, in the past these cards have sold out in minutes right at launch. And there's nothing absurd about asking on our forum, we just don't have any information to share at this time. -
Yikes! Awesome I appreciate the info!

The better question to ask would be, do we wait on a physical line on launch day OR do we order store pickup the moment they are available and show up later to pick it up? @TSMikeW

Typically for launches like this we don't have reservations available initially and make them available later when there's better availability and demand has slowed a bit. However, even if we have reservations available on launch day preference will be given to people who come into the store and we will likely sell out of the cards before any online reservations could be placed anyway. -
@TSTonyV
Thanks! will do! -
One last question @TSTonyV, I am a big fan of EVGA cards. Do you usually carry every card variant available? like the kingpin, ftw3, xc3 and hybrid variants on launch day? Or do those typically come later
-
We don't always have EVERY card variant available but we typically carry a variety of EVGA variants, including the ones you mentioned. What we'll actually have on launch day I'm not sure but I expect there should be at least one or two EVGA cards since they've announced a few already.

It must be a battle, of Mortal Kombat. To receive the EVGA RTX 3090 Kingpin Edition.

Will every Microcenter have these cards on launch day? The closest one near me is in Houston, TX.

Will Denver Microcenter get a second shipment? How many 3090s will they have at launch?

We do not have an exact number currently available, however, we do plan to have some at all locations.

How do I find out if my local store has any 3090's on stock. Everytime I call it says the hold queue is max'd and hangs up :-/ This is for the Dallas store, btw.

Hey, @phubbell. We've had people camped out for a couple of days prior to release, sadly we're sold out at the moment. We're doing our best to get more in stock, but many customers are coming into the store to check the stock of the 3000 series cards. We're selling out pretty much as quickly as we get the cards. We're hoping to have more soon! So, keep checking back on the website or if possible, in person, at your local store.
