Widgets, especially smart stacks are a game-changer! To be able to see things like weather, stock quotes, upcoming reminders and upcoming calendar appointments without opening an app make the experience much better. Especially with a larger screen iPhone you can put the widgets at the top of each home screen and keep your app icons on the bottom so you can reach them with one hand and still see the widgets that you don't need to often click on.
Even highlights from reddit are great, you can have it show top news, funny, and sports stores, or a specific subreddit.
