Can I return a CPU without the box? The hold queue at my store is full so I can't talk to anyone.

Hello! I need to return a CPU, but I no longer have the box for it. I did buy the two year replacement plan on it though, so I would assume it would be good. I have the receipt. I'll also need to clean the thermal paste off of it.

I'm just looking for some confirmation on if I'll be able to exchange it.

As long as there is something wrong with the processor, you can bring it back and we can take care of it with the replacement plan.  No box needed.

Thanks for the response! Is it possible to return it and then exchange it? I had a bunch of issues with my motherboard so I got a new one, and it seems that the CPU isn't compatible with it. I was hoping to get a new CPU.

I recommend bringing it in and speaking with a manager to see if they can do that exchange.  This would be up to a manager to make this decision.
