Keyboard Malfunction on MacBook Air

I purchased a MacBook Air 13" last October (Marietta GA store). Recently the space bar on the keyboard has been acting up sporadically:
> Sometimes it advances 2, 3 or 4 spaces
> Sometimes it will advance and include a period or a comma
> Sometimes it will not do anything at all
> Sometimes works as normal
It was purchased at Micro Center in GA but is now in Ft Lauderdale with my son in college.
What to do and how to get it fixed? Purchase date was 10/21/2019.... still under warranty?
