I put this parts list together and am looking for some advice. https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder.aspx?load=c62ad15a-f7c0-48ce-bbb1-65fc688eea61

What do you guys think of my first PC build? Advice/Additions?

  • Forgot to mention, I am a mainly FPS gamer. I like to stream and want a solid machine to run at better than average.

Build is good overall, couple things I'll mention is that the extra case fan you selected is unnecessary, the Lancool II Mesh comes with three front fans and one exhaust already so it has plenty. I'd also, personally, go with a set of DDR4-3600 memory since that's the sweetspot for third gen Ryzen.

Around the same budget you may also want to consider the Intel i5-10600k. It will outperform the 3700X in gaming, but you do have to purchase a separate cooler with it so you'll up your cost a bit on that front. Just depends on how much you value that extra FPS it could potentially give or not.
