Everything we have here related to computers suck.
-
Thanks for the recommendation @Anons!I've seen a request for a new store in Utah before! I'll pass along your recommendation and hopefully, we can get a new location there in the future!
-
Please do! We used to have EBC Computers, now we have nothing.
-
Do it! Do it!
-
Hello! Glad to see the support here, hopefully one day it can happen!
-
Come to Utahhhhhh!
-
I would love to see a SLC location, would 100% have my business.
-
Yes Please!
-
We appreciate all the support, and will be sure our team knows more people are interested!

I fortieth this request, or whatever we're at. There are loads of technical people that would benefit so much from a store like this in the area. There's over 2.6 million people within driving distance if a store was placed in south Salt Lake near Sandy or Draper. Land is opening up, where the state prison is moving away from... jus' say'n. Not to mention the millions of people who drive from southern UT, Idaho, Wyoming , Arizona and Nevada to do all sorts of shopping here! Let's talk businesses. Silicon Slopes is in Lehi, UT. There's over 7,000 tech businesses calling Utah home according to usa-bubusa.com. Let's talk education. Home to about 26, 4 year colleges and universities. There are really so many more reasons why Micro Center should be building their next store in Utah! We hope to see you sooner than later!
With interest, CDRTy

Thank you for your suggestion! Perhaps it will happen one day!

I made an account just to vouch for this request. I went with some friends to Colorado for a concert 2 months ago and gave the local micro center there a visit. Literally there wasn't a 5 minute gap where we didn't say "woah this is sick." We talked about driving the 8 hours just to go back for GPUs and other miscellaneous items for our computers. There are a couple locations I can think of off the top of my head to open one up. Where the Shopko used to be on State Street and 5900 S which is down the road to one of the biggest malls in the valley, there used to be a K-mart just off of Bangerter and 54th with a lot of space. I'm sure you guys can find a couple hundred other places too, but what I want to get at is, a Microcenter here in Utah would be fantastic.
-
Hello, thanks for voicing your support for a new location!
-
I drove over 7 hours from salt lake to Denver to get to a micro center. There are millions of people and businesses that would benefit for a local micro center. All we have is Best Buy, and I wouldn't even consider it in the same league as micro center.
Please one one up soon! -
Hello, thanks for sharing your support. Perhaps one day it can happen!
-
Hey, it's been a year since I chimed in. Where are we on this? 😉
-
I'm not aware of any updates for new stores. Perhaps one day it can happen!
-
PLEASE come to Utah! We have really no stores here for building PCs and whatnot! Tired of only buying online. Nothing beats the experience of getting in your car, driving to a store, walking in and being surrounded by computer parts GALORE! Come to Salt Lake City!!!
-
Thanks for the recommendation and for sharing your interest!
-
Hope there will be a store here. Instead of waiting 4 hour queues next to Best Buy to buy a GPU I would rather support Micro Center and buy from you guys! You'll need to send a specialist to measure demand and conduct a comprehensive study but from perspective of a lay person, a brick and mortar hardware store with latest and best components will be a huge success, as the local parts stores are either overpriced or they are.. well.. best buy

Hello! Maybe one day it will happen!

Literally made an account just to add my voice to this thread. If there was a location in Salt Lake I would be a consistent customer, I can guarantee it. There’s so few stores for building PC’s out here and the one’s that we do have are, in my opinion, utter garbage aside from Best Buy, which isn’t always ideal either. You would have SO much business since there’s a lot of consumer interest for PC building out here but having no good store for it nearby makes it tough.
Please consider a south Salt Lake or Draper location, you would get a stupid amount of business 😆 -
Thanks for the recommendation and for sharing your support!

Just as a follow-up from my previous comment and subsequent comments, Utah is known to be one of the fastest growing "hubs" for tech companies. Microcenter in Salt Lake City would be a perfect addition to residents thirsting for local tech resources. Youthful, tech-oriented population. We love computer 'nerds' in Utah! I'm linking an article about Salt Lake City's rise on the tech map. Microcenter NEEDS to have a Salt Lake City location!

I also literally created an account just to support this.
The amount of tech development in utah over the last 10 years has been insane. The Silicon Slope effort has drawn huge numbers of tech companies and enthusiasts.
Please. Please. PLEASE bring a store to SLC!! It would be insanely profitable. -
Hello, thanks to you both for showing your support!
-
I also just signed up to beg.
I run a small IT business here in south salt lake county, and without having a good computer parts store locally, i either have to order things online, go to best buy, or drive 30 miles north to find a half decent store in Bountiful. it's horrible.
The only place someone can go for good gaming hardware in the valley is a single Best Buy who has an above average selection of computer components. The rest of the stores are small and not often worth going to.
Most people just order things online because there's little hope of getting what you want in person out here.
People from other states converge in the SLC area often because we are the heart of the little states around us. So the market for a Micro Center store is larger than Utah's population, It would serve a part of Wyoming, Idaho, Arizona, and Nevada.
If a Micro Center opened up here, i would be an immediate loyal customer because as an IT provider, i often need hardware NOW, not a week later.

Yes hello, another fellow Utahn here. Literally just made this account to sign the petition lol. Please come to Utah so we can stop shopping at best buy.. the only good alternative we have is online shopping... which is fine, I guess. But we need a real store in the Salt Lake Valley!
-
Hello, thanks to you both for showing your support!

Being in the IT / Data Center field for the last 30 years, we do not have anything good in Utah for computer parts, etc. Please bring MicroCenter here to Utah! Plus, it would make it a local store that I will frequent. Online is nice, but I always prefer local over online even if it is a few bucks more.
