Troubleshooting a PC build that isn't booting

Hey there! I am building my first PC and decided to do a bench test with my components. I followed this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9206E_rOduU to make sure everything works. I plugged everything in and got nothing. I took out gpu , reseated ram, made sure all my cables were in correctly and still got nothing. I tested my power supply and it seemed to work fine with spinning fans when not connected to my motherboard, but when it is connected, neither the psu nor the cpu fans spin. What could my issue be?

Specs: 
msi b550 gaming plus mobo
ryzen 3 3100 amd cpu (with included fan)
t-force 16gb kit ddr4 3200
zotac gtx 970 4gb video card
corsair rm750x power supply

All of these parts should be compatible, so I don't think that's the issue here. Are you getting a POST code or LED light when you try to turn your system on?

You have a board with EZ_Debug LED's. I would start there, they're right above the 24 pin ATX. It should tell you where you're failing on POST.
