Modem/ Router Suggestions

I am currently looking to purchase a new modem and router (separately). Currently looking at the NETGEAR CM1000 and Motorola MB8600 modems. Other forums I have read have them  pretty closely rated. 
Secondly, I am looking for a comparable router to support as well. I am really interested in the new WiFi 6 technology but am brand loyal. The research I have done all seem to range around 300-400$ for something but I am pretty new at this and I don't know if that is really necessary for the usage we have. 

I currently have Xfinity provider with 600-700 mbps internet download speed for a 2400 sqft bi-level home. Usage: 1 gamer (LoL), 5 children ipads for school, 5 adults working from home, and netflix streaming. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

What brand do you prefer?  Also, what store would you be shopping in? I'd be happy to make some recommendations.

I would double-check to ensure that the Modem you purchase is compatible with your ISP.

For your router, I'd recommend getting one that offers Wi-Fi speeds that would match your ISP speed. So a router that can share speeds of 600-700 mbps.
