Good evening Microcenter community!
For the November 18th release of the 6800 XT graphics card, will this be a in-store purchase only?
2nd question.
I was at the Westmont, IL store today and missed getting the 5900x by only a few places in line. (No harm, no foul, things happen). I still plan on getting a 5900x from microcenter, but wanted to know if there is a "projected" restock date for the 5900x?

Hey, @PotterPlays Yes, we're expecting to have the 6800 XT on release, and it will be in-store only availability!Sorry to hear that you missed your new 5900X! We're hoping to have more very soon; however, we're still waiting to receive more from AMD. At this time, we dont have a specific ETA. If we have some in stock, our website will list "Limited Availability" however, since many are waiting in line before the store opens, they are going extremely quickly as soon as we have them in stock. So it may be best for you to check in person in the morning.

Thank you @LandShark, can I make a suggestion for the upcoming 6800xt release?
Have a store employee hand out vouchers to the line vs having to come in the store to see if any stock is left.
Or have a store employee come out and ask / count how many people are there for a specific product. - -
You're welcome, @PotterPlays! Thanks for the recommendation. I'll share it with our leadership!

@PotterPlays Any luck picking up a 5900x at the Westmont location so far? Coming in from Arizona and wondering if it's worth it to try.

I got there around 8:05 A.M. There were over 100 people in line. I plan on going much sooner next week.

Can you reserve a card for yourself if possible? I need a gpu for a new gaming rig that I'm planning to build and am hoping to get my hands on a 6800.
-
At this time, these items are not available for reservation. They should be available for reservation in the future, however, I'm not sure when exactly.
-
Is there any idea of what the stock will be like in the chicago and Westmont stores for the cards
-
I've been told that we should expect very limited stock. I don't have an exact number but I would expect something similar to the NVIDIA launch as far as quantity goes.
