How long does In-Store credit last?
If you return an item you purchased alongside the extended warranty and get store credit in the form of a card or some kind of document that confirms the credit, how long does that credit last? Is there a limit to how long one can wait to use the store credit? For example if I return an item two years after purchase because it has failed, and I get store credit but I don't want to make a purchase the same day, will I be able to use that credit a year or more from that date or return?

Hey @Gfunk. If you've purchased an extended warranty and your item fails while covered by said warranty it would be repaired or replaced with an equal item. If it is not repairable, and an alike item is not available, typically a store credit would be issued. That store credit does not have an expiry date.Hope this info helps.

Yes it does thank you for the reply. Just for peace of mind, is there a written policy that explicitly states these terms? Especially the part about expiration or lack there of. I don't have that flyer that we get when we purchase extended warranties. I think the terms of agreement were on that document.

Which plan would PC components fall under?

For individual PC Components, it would be this plan: https://www.microcenter.com/site/customer-support/protection-plans/replacement-protection-plans.aspx

"It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or issue a gift certificate where the underlying funds are subject to an expiration date which is earlier than five years after the date on which the gift certificate was issued, or the date on which funds were last loaded to a store gift card.". I was told otherwise at the store.
