Powerspec 850 W Gold loud whine

My powerspec 850 W Gold is making a loud whining noise. Is there anything that can be done about this?

How long have you had this PSU? Did this just recently start making this noise? If so, that could be a sign the PSU is going out. I would just double check that it is mounted properly in your case. Regardless, it shouldn't be making this 'whining noise'. 
If the noise does continue and you cannot get it to stop then you can bring it to the store. PowerSpec power supplies do come with a 5-year warranty.

@TS_JosephF I have had the psu for just under a year. I have checked everything from mounting to cabling. Do I need the receipts or box to bring to the store?

If you have the receipt that would be helpful, however, it is not required.
