Best way to dispose of old computers

It's time to clean out the basement of old computers.  There's probably sensitive data on the hard drives.  What's the best way to get rid of them?  Thanks.

If you're worried about sensitive data the best method is to wipe the data and/or physically destroy them. I've always been partial to taking them apart and making something fun out of the disks inside. Using them as mirrors. etc.
