How to get sound from Ryzen 7 I/O when connected to Asus 31.5" monitor with sound/

I purchased a Ryzen 7 3800 8-Core system, it has an TUF gaming mother X570-PLUS CWI-FID and is connected to an Asus HDMI 31.5" screen. Is the HDMI connector cutting out the sound from Asus motherboard I/O ports?

I am not sure if I am understanding your post correctly but your PC can pass the audio through the HDMI port to your monitor. If you cannot hear anything then I would make sure the audio output device is set correctly and make sure the volume on your monitor is turned up as well.
