Purchased laptop has incorrect amount of RAM.

Hello!
I recently bought an HP Pavilion 15-cs3096nr laptop online and went in to pick it up. On the reservation confirmation email, Micro Center's website, and HP's website, it states that the laptop has 16GB of DDR4-2666 RAM. However, when I checked the laptop using dxdiag and NVIDIA Experience, it says the laptop is only running 8GB of RAM. There is 8GB missing. Is there a way this could be handled so I could get the missing 8GB?
